How Much Does a Klaviyo Agency Cost in Australia? (2026 Guide)
If you have searched for a Klaviyo agency in Australia, you have probably noticed that most don't publish their prices. That makes it hard to know what is reasonable. This guide explains how Klaviyo support is usually priced, what drives the cost, and what I charge, so you can compare quotes with confidence.
The three ways Klaviyo support is priced
1. Hourly
Best for small, clearly defined tasks: fixing a broken flow, setting up a sign-up form, or cleaning up segments. Freelancers and specialists in Australia commonly charge anywhere from about $60 to $150+ per hour depending on experience. Hourly work is flexible, but it gets expensive if the scope is not clear.
2. Fixed-price projects
Common for Klaviyo setup, core flow builds, audits and migrations. You know the cost up front. The quality of the scope matters here: make sure it lists exactly which flows, how many emails, whether copy and design are included, and how many revision rounds you get.
3. Monthly retainers
For ongoing campaigns, flow optimisation, testing and reporting. Retainers for established brands often start in the low thousands per month and rise with the number of campaigns, SMS, and how much strategy and design is involved.
What drives the price up or down
Campaign volume. Four campaigns a month is a very different job from twelve.
Copy and design. Are you supplying copy and images, or does the agency write and design everything?
Number of flows. A basic set of four is quicker than a full lifecycle build with ten or more.
Account condition. A messy account with broken tracking or old integrations takes longer to fix than a fresh setup.
Strategy vs execution. Senior strategy costs more than "just build what I tell you".
SMS. Adding SMS adds planning, copy and compliance work.
What I charge
I publish my pricing because I think it saves everyone time:
60-minute private strategy session: $295, which may be credited to your first invoice if we go ahead within 14 days
Defined projects such as Klaviyo setup, flow builds, email audits and migrations: from $80 per hour, scoped and quoted up front
Ongoing email marketing and operations partnership: from A$3,000 + GST per month

Freelancer, agency or in-house?
A freelancer or specialist usually gives you senior attention at a lower cost, but capacity is limited. A larger agency offers more hands and services, but you may be handed to a junior account manager. In-house makes sense once email is a large share of revenue and there is enough work for a full-time role, but finding someone who is strong in Klaviyo strategy, copy and design is hard.
Questions to ask before you hire anyone
Who will actually do the work in my account?
Can you show me flows or campaigns you have built for a business like mine?
How do you report on results, and which numbers do you focus on?
What happens to the templates and flows if we stop working together? (They should stay in your account.)
How do you handle Spam Act compliance and consent?
Is it worth it?
For most established ecommerce brands, yes, as long as flows and segmentation are done properly. A good starting point is working out what your current setup may be leaving on the table. Try the free Email Revenue Leak Calculator, or tell me about your business and I will recommend the most sensible next step.
